KSI is a British rapper, singer, YouTuber, entrepreneur and boxer who has made one of the more remarkable transitions from internet celebrity to mainstream recording artist. His real name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, commonly known as JJ Olatunji. He was born in London, England, on 19 June 1993 and was raised in Watford, Hertfordshire.
KSI first became widely known through YouTube, building a huge following with gaming videos, comedy and entertainment content. Music gradually developed from another element of his online career into a serious pursuit. His 2015 single Lamborghini, featuring P Money, became his first entry on the UK Singles Chart, reaching number 30. His debut EP, Keep Up, followed in 2016.
Rather than remaining confined to novelty releases associated with his YouTube fame, KSI increasingly worked with established musicians and producers. Collaborators have included Rick Ross, Lil Baby, Anne-Marie, Craig David, YUNGBLUD, Tom Grennan and Trippie Redd.

His second album, All Over the Place, went further in 2021, entering the chart at number one with more than 34,000 chart sales during its opening week. The album produced four UK Top 3 singles: Really Love, Don’t Play, Patience and Holiday.
His commercial achievements have continued beyond those albums. Official Charts records nine UK Top 10 singles and 20 Top 40 hits for him. In recognition of more than one billion UK streams, he also received the BRIT Billion Award.
The 2024 single Thick of It, featuring Trippie Redd, reached number six in Britain and was subsequently nominated for Song of the Year at the 2025 BRIT Awards.
